Comparison of glimepiride and linagliptin in the treatment of non-alcoholic hepatic disease with Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Introduction Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is associated severe clinical outcomes. MicroRNA (miR)-210 has been reported to be related T2DM and lipid metabolism. This study aimed determine whether miR-210 can predict the effects of glimepiride linagliptin on NAFLD T2DM. Material methods A total 86 patients were randomly categorized into two groups treated either (5 mg/daily) or (2 for 6 months. Furthermore, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used evaluate expression level in patients’ serum.
